Law marketing is very time consuming but with clever gizmos like Legal RSS we stand a chance of practising law too! I found LegalRSS when I hopped onto the Words4Business website which is owned by the same people and as W4B has been recognised for its quality content for many years I was confident about the content and intrigued by the technology.
I like their new invention because it allows law firms, to stream off the shelf content via RSS without the need for an actual interactive blog. If you have a reason to invest time in a blog like Marketing for Lawyers, then ok, but if your objective is to publish an up to date employment law feed to let clients know that your website has fresh content then this could be the answer. I find that most lawyers are quite happy to rely on their website as the main event and don't need the hassle of managing visitor comments and fielding spam on a separate blog. Instead they are happy to embed the feed straight into existing web pages and blast it out to Twitter and Linked In etc.
If you would be happy to have a steady stream of news covering a handful of selected subjects fed straight into your website and any other web pages you want to post to, then this could be the answer and it certainly won't break the bank starting at £59 pcm.
I like the fact that it allows you to add your own blogs to the standard list of feeds. This is important from a niche law marketing perspective. Adding the personal touch and speaking to a specific group of clients, such as manufacturers or local businesses , will give you an edge over the competition... if you can reach the right readers.
Speaking of reaching your readers, LegalRSS helps you distribute your law marketing newsfeeds to the web and social media sites and before long I expect they will take so much of the hassle out of distribution across the mobile platforms too that there will be little point in doing it by any other means.
All is explained in more detail on the Legal RSS website and here is an example of their newsfeeds on one of their law firm subscribers. There is an 8 week free trial of what has to be a great value law marketing tool.
