Pain-Free Marketing for Employment Lawyers

This promotional video works brilliantly as a one off

This promotional video caught my attention while surfing YouTube and I'm sharing it because I thought it may inspire employment lawyers to think a bit more creatively about video production as part of their legal marketing mix. I include myself as being in need of  video production inspiration.

Jon Rognerud hosts his own video channel on YouTube and has produced this simple but highly effective book promotion in a video format and it certainly gets its message across, but there is a suggestion that it is home produced. [Sorry if you spent a small fortune on a creative digital agency, Jon but I love the impact it creates however it was achieved].

I for one could do with some coaching on video style and tone. I just don't seem to get it right and go from one extreme to the other, coming over either as a talking head or a party animal, neither of which is the intended result as you may imagine given that my content is designed to appeal to employment lawyers wanting help with their legal marketing strategies!

It's much more difficult than it looks this acting, presenting lark. It's probably because in videos the content is usually a talking head to the camera, while with radio and podcast interviews there is someone to chat with which gives your legal marketing content variety and soul. This video demonstrates that it doesn't have to be a choice between inaccessible corporate blurb and cheap entertainment.
