Pain-Free Marketing for Employment Lawyers

Lawyers: Is it worth upgrading to a Linkedin Premium account?

Linkedin is the perfect social media network for lawyers in my opinion and if you have built it into your legal marketing strategy, you may at some point consider upgrading your account. In that case, the place to start is the Linkedin Help Centre where you will find the various additional features of Premium accounts.

You can choose an option based on your interests and choices include:

I punched the question into Google today and the marketer Mick Dickinson's article seemed the most relevant response on page #1 even though it wasn't specifically about legal marketing. Mick conducted a straw poll of his followers on Twitter in December 2010 and after tweeting a closed question to over 2000 followers as to whether it was worth upgrading, Mick said 'the silence was telling'. Frankly it seemed to have been deafening! There were no affirmatives, 5 negatives and a couple of fence sitters and that was it!... allegedly.

I have heard from recruiters that they find the added features to be useful but as a lawyer I will be sticking with my free account for now. There are so many excellent features available with the basic account that I don't feel the need to upgrade.

If you have any suggestions for Linkedin features that could help lawyers please share them here.
